The Ohio REINS Volunteer Program was started in 2009 by the Ohio State University Extension Specialist. Volunteers throughout the state have received specialized training to further the educational efforts of extension and to promote the efforts of the Ohio Horse Industry. REINS volunteers are avaiilable to assist Extension professionals in the developemnt of edcuational horse materials, programs and on-farm demonstratioins and serve as a horse industry contact within their county.
The program continues to look for horse enthusiasts who, after successful completion of the initial training program, are interested in becoming a resource in their community. If you would like more information about the Ohio REINS program or becoming a volunteer, please contact Dr. Kimberly Cole, OSU Extension Equine Specialist at cole.436@osu.edu or 614-292-2625.
